Issue 8/9

Aug/Sept 2020

We hope everyone has been keeping well and safe as we slowly get back to some normality and a new way of living and working. We are now open Monday to Saturday 9.30am until 4pm. Please be aware of the following Covid-19 measures that are in place:-

Arrive alone

Be symptom free

Wear a mask or face covering, unless exempt

Arrive as near to appointment as possible as no waiting in reception

There are no toilet facilities

Hand sanitiser available on arrival

We still have services that work out of the DIAL office that are still temporarily suspended until further notice but our charity shop and office is now open with strict measures in place to keep our clients/customers/volunteers and staff as safe as possible.

Temporarily suspended until further notice but can still be reached on their main line number 0300 303 3111. Shaw Trust are normally here Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm. Their specialist services help people gain an education, enter work, develop their career, improve their wellbeing or rebuild their lives. As a charity they add value to every service they deliver by investing back into the people and communities they support.

Voluntary Norfolk Better Together are returning to the DIAL office Mon-Fri 9am-4.30pm from the 1st September. They are working in partnership on a new project in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, South Norfolk and parts of Breckland to tackle the physical and mental health impacts of loneliness and isolation. Tel: 01603 614474

The Village Orchard East CIC will now be working out of the DIAL office on a Thursday morning 9am until 1pm as from the 10th September. This is a counselling service for children, young people and families.

Volunteering Opportunities are always available here at DIAL, but due to the Coronavirus crisis this has all been put on hold until we are able to continue and also to keep our current Volunteers safe and well.

If you wish to be part of our friendly volunteering team please call Jenny for more information on 01493 856900.

Also due to the Coronavirus crisis the usual organisations that use the building are temporarily suspended but you can get them on their usual telephone numbers, hopefully when things are back up and running the details below will apply.

Just a few reminders of their details:-

That’s all for this month for the moment, see you all again in November with further updates. Please continue to keep well and stay safe.
