Welcome to our March edition. Our St Patrick’s Day window is taking shape.

There is a lot coming up at DIAL this year so keep watching this space for details as they arise.

On Thursday 5th March there is an event in the Assembly Rooms of the Great Yarmouth Town Hall in early celebration of International Women’s Day which is on Sunday the 8th March. See poster below for further details and come along to see what its all about:-

Go Geronimo Community Gym has finished its first 6 week session and we are awaiting confirmation of the next. So look out for the updates.

Mind are still here in the building, so if you need their help and support please call them on their main office number 01493 842129

Shaw Trust are now here Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm. Their specialist services help people gain an education, enter work, develop their career, improve their wellbeing or rebuild their lives. As a charity they add value to every service they deliver by investing back into the people and communities they support.

Voluntary Norfolk Better Together are also working out of the DIAL office. They are working in partnership on a new project in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, South Norfolk and parts of Breckland to tackle the physical and mental health impacts of loneliness and isolation. Tel: 01603 614474

Just a few reminders:-

Norwich Credit Union are here Mondays 1-4pm and extra hour has been added due to demand, and Fridays 10-12.30pm providing advice to anyone having trouble with opening a Bank account or just wanting to save for a rainy day or to simply pay the bills. They are also offering Child Benefit Loans and will be taking appointment bookings on 01603 764904 or 07504 433758

Norfolk Family Mediation are still in the DIAL office occasionally on a Saturday, as required. Please call them for an appointment on 01603 620588 if you have a relationship breakdown and need help with making child arrangements or dividing assets.

East Coast College English classes with tutor Catherine on Tuesdays at 1.30-3.30pm. So come along if you wish to improve your english and gain a qualification. Also ESOL classes with Alex are every Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am - 12.30pm. So again pop along if you are in need of improving or learning english, and we would advise that these classes are very busy so to gain a place please be prompt at 9.30am

DIAL’s money and debt advice service in Belton at The John Green Institute is going very well and is every second Wednesday of the month with Stephen 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Social Blooms 2 Gardening projects at the moment are Peggotty Road Community Centre and Mesh in Gorleston. This is a very rewarding project and has improved the wellbeing and confidence of all Volunteers who are already part of it. So if you are interested in joining the team, enjoy the outdoors and gardening, pop along to see Project Co-Ordinator, Sian, or ring the DIAL office on 01493 856900 and give your name and contact details for her to get in touch

Our Craft Club is held on a Monday and Thursday 10-3.30pm for those of you who enjoy crafts and being creative.  Just come along to see what its all about and maybe join in and meet new people. Below is just some of the things that have been created within the Craft Club.
